Um.. Hi! I'm horrible at starting conversations and such, so I'm just gonna start with a simple greeting.
I'm warriocat12, or preferably Midnight Bloom, and I started my account on Deviantart a few years ago in September 2011. I didn't really know what to do yet honestly so I decided to just leave it be and stick the other websites I hang out on. I came back on in 2012 and submitted my first drawing using DA muro.
I admit it wasn't really that good, but it didn't deter me from continuing my love for drawing.
Now I'm gonna explain as best as I can remember when I first started drawing actual stuff instead of scribbles. I was probably around 4-5, and one of my favorite movies/shows was the 101 Dalmatians and The PowerPuff Girls, but after a while me and my older sister came up a fantasy series, called The Puppies and Kitties stories, it was a mixture of the PPG and the Dalmatians. The characters were of course puppies and kitties but they had super powers like the PPG's, (who they would sometimes hang out with) and instead of the villain Cruella De Vil, it was of based off the stuff animal beanie babies bears which we gave the title: The mean bears.
The characters was Patch, Shadow, Kitty and Rolly, (but the crew grew over the years with a newer addition around in 2006, Snuggs) The group would go on adventures, escape kidnapping, foil evil plots etc.
I remember saying to my sister when we were drawing on printer paper with our crayons and pencils "when I grow up, I want to be a animator and a artist, so the world can know about their adventures." To a child, dreams are never to big and you feel like everything has a hint of magic to it as well as sparkly wonder (at least it was for me). But as time grew on, those dreams seemed to fade a bit as I saw how dark the world could be, but I still continued to draw as well as trying to get better at writing.
Later on in life I found out about digital art, and MS paint just wasn't enough so I downloaded Gimp onto our old, slow computer. And since I didn't have a tablet, I used the reliable mouse (which I still use to this day.)
(I was only able to find a couple of pictures from that time period, but this one stood out to me the most.)
I loved using that smudging tool, but it's kinda hard to see any good anatomy going on.
I like this picture because of the fur texture, plus it's Midnight's first design :3
But thanks to DA, i found a butt-load of tutorials that had helped me so much, especially when I discovered sai, with all it's brushes and it was easier to learn for me.
This is one of the first pictures I done in sai, and for that it is one of favorites. And after that, I started looking for more Oc's to own.
I love these two for the colors and vibrancy, I like how the eyes came out for one of favorite traditional pieces in inktense pencils.
This has got to be one of the best pieces along with the most memorable, It was a shock to realize that I had reached 100 watchers, I just want to thank everyone and send them hugs.
Gwen, the character that describes my artistic side along with a sassy 'what evs' smirk. I really love this one because of the rainbow colors and its good example of how I improved my shading and anatomy.
The frost patterns and snowflakes are just... Wow. I still can't believe how good it came out.
Frosted Nebula (aka Solus) is one of my newest and favorable characters, the colors are so gosh darn pretty if I do say so myself.
Eveything came out amazing! It is quite accomplishment for a mouse user ^^
Words can not describe how cute I find this picture, It's just so da'awww! XD
And finally my newest creation for my younger sister's B-day, I just love the pose, the colors, shading, the textures used and everything! it's just amazing of how far I've come and how many watchers like my artwork, It feels awesome just to have this experience and all the kind comments my work's receive, just thank you so much and I hope to improve more in the years to come and hope everyone loves what is in store for the future.
(And sorry if this is poorly written to those who read it, I'm not the best at articulating)
